Serenity movie in South Africa

Being a big fan of Angel, Buffy and Firefly (The creations of Joss Whedon) I am looking forward to the Serenity movie. It is based on the short-lived Firefly series which became a best seller after the show was cancelled.

Unfortunatly, I cant seem to find out when it is being released in South Africa. If you know, please let me know in the comment section.

I'm a huge fan too, and also had an equally unsuccessful search for a South African release date.
So, as a last resort I wrote to Nu Metro, and they finally told me it would be released on 18 November.

Unfortunately, it is still not up in the 'coming soon' section of their website, and there has been absolutely no promotion of the movie yet, so we can just hope.

I saw a huge Serenity poster (the white international one, not the blue USA one) at the Nu Metro at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town a while back.

There were a few pages at serenitymovie.co.za (but it now only has a squatter page) and I registered on their form. I found the images were hosted by Ster-Kinekor so I emailed them to ask if there would be preview shows in SA like in the USA, UK, Oz, etc.: no such luck.

Big screen releases have been cancelled in several countries, hope there aren't any more. According to moviesite.co.za we're still getting it on the 18th, but the Nu Metro, Ster-Kinekor, and Computicket sites still don't have anything.
